Beyond the Galaxy
For Samsung, I explored a design language that would echo the polish of Samsung’s industrial design aesthetic and appeal to the mature consumer. I worked in conjunction with an ongoing user research and audit of the Samsung Galaxy at Projekt202.
From our research findings, we knew that system coherency was paramount to the success of a new design. I pursued a style built on a minimalist philosophy, adhering to Material's metaphor for rationalized space and tactile reality as a foundation and evolving the grid and surface treatment to feel more mature, ethereal. With the client's goals in mind, I explored a system that would feel personal and unobtrusive, target the adult consumer and offer moments of delight.
