A Home for Treehouse

A Home for Treehouse

Treehouse is a retail and consultation company focused on sustainable home improvement. Expanding throughout Texas, Treehouse was looking for a quick site redesign before their Dallas groundbreaking in three weeks.

The new site centered around a hub that provided education for the consumer and an opportunity to engage with Treehouse for management and consulting. The language for the site needed to showcase Treehouse’s expertise in sustainable home improvement. Creative Director Joseph Blalock had established a polished print language for the in-store experience and marketing materials. I wanted the site’s design language to mirror in the natural textures and hands-on experiences that make the retail experience so unique.

Discovery

On my first visit to Treehouse, I was delighted and inspired the abundance of tactile, educational installations—imagine a kids’ science museum meets IKEA. It was mature and polished but unpretentious; warm. I knew I wanted the site to reflect this ambience. I took a few pics for reference.
